Bare Minerals Guide

okaay guys, im goin to ulta tomorrow! and i really plan on getting the starter kit..but im being kind of spectical about it cause people told me it looks shiny and stuf, i do have a little bit of pimples and a little bit of acne scars..so do you like bare minerals? can i have your opinions please? thankss..and one more thing..my body is tan but my face never seems to get AS tan, so should i go with the light starter kit or the medium tan? thanks

so now that i have money i’ve been thinkin to get some bare mineral make up
i use proactive and leaves my skin soft and usually pretty clear( no big blemishes) , but the problem is the look of my skin, it has all this little let vessels on the side ofmy cheeck , which i’ve had since i was little, and sometimes it looks just very ugly even though it feels soft

i need alot of coverage and If you’ve tried bare minerals before how is it
is it cakey
do you still look good in brought daylight
does it look even up close
does it stay on

I keep seeing the infomertial for that Bare Minerals makeup - anyone out there use it? Do you like it?
The infomercial has me hooked, but it’s expensive, and I’d like to make sure I’m not paying for something that sucks before buying…

Luckily, there are now some more inexpensive products to use that are just like Bare Minerals. It does take a couple of days to get used to how to apply it, but it looks really good once you get it down. The hardest part for me is mixing the foundation shade so it matches right. Just remember this: if your face looks chalky, the shade is too light, and if it looks like a mask, the shade is too dark. It’s easy to correct though.

I got mine last night at Sephora for 60$. It comes with 2 shades of your foundation, warmth all over (kind of like a bronzer), mineralveil finishing powder, 3 different brushes, and a face rever-upper (which helps clears up zits with the sylic acid).

Who has tried bare minerals, and what’s great and not so great about it. Also is it for all skin types, and how well can they match your skin tone

The make-up is wonderful. The only thing I don’t like about it is when you sweat it doesn’t hold up to well other than that is it great. You can go to the web site and it will help you pick the skin tone. I would try it if I were you. Matching skin is easy and it does match really well. Very easy to use, it is for all skin types.

I just recently ordered Bare Minerals foundation, I didn’t order the whole kit, just the foundation. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and what they thought of it. Also, does it cover well?? I have acne and nothing I use looks natural. All the testimonials I have seen, the people have perfect skin to begin with. So someone with acne, does it cover??

I absolutely love Bare Minerals! I have been using it for several years now and will never go back to liquid foundation. (I have combination skin) I also love their eye shadows and eye liners. I am definitely a convert!

my friend has this problem with caky makeup . she puts on powder now, but it still builds up around her nose. i want to try bare minerals. a lot of people say it has worked for them. i was reading questions about bare minerals on here so i wouldnt have to ask a question. and someone said the company sends you bare minerals samples for free. i want to do this…..but i dont know how. could anyone tell me how to reduce cakiness (sorry about spelling) and to get a free sample? thanks so much!;)

I’ve had a semi-alright experience with bare minerals. It is, as they promise, really light, forgiving, and easy to apply. It doesn’t always cover like they say it will though. If you have a little zit, you’ll be tempted to keep covering it with powder until the redness is reduced, but that could take forever and will leave your skin looking really cakey.

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the worst, 10 being the best) what would you rate the coverage of bare minerals makeup? How well does it cover redness and blemishes?

10 ! bare minerals is the best make-up i’ve found in over 25 years. try multitasking bisque (in your shade) to conceal even better. i usually spot conceal with the foundation, then buff the foundation over the whole face, and finish with mineral veil. since using bare minerals, my blemishes have faded, and my redness is diminished, my skin looks & feels much healthier now.
